The hero now has more knowledge and confidence from this adventure and brings it back to the ordinary word. He will gain more respect for completing this quest and has probably saved or changed their ordinary world. In some cases they will return with an item that will allow them to save the ordinary world.
Bilbo returns to the shire after a extensive and enervating journey and found that they wee selling off his house in an auction. He was believed to be dead! Although the elves, the humans of Lake Town, Beorn, the 12 dwarves and Gandalf all respected him and owe their life to him, nobody in the ordinary world seemed to respect him or believe him. He is not as respected by fellow hobbits as before but he doesn’t seem to mind. "Somehow the killing of this giant spider, all alone by himself in the dark...made a great difference to Mr. Baggins. He felt a different person, and much fiercer and bolder in spite of an empty stomach” (154) He had gained much more confidence from this quest and also has become much more wealthier because of all the gold Bard awarded him to go back with to Hobbiton. Bilbo’s task is done and he can now relax in peace.
